Free use and license

Minty PDF is free for personal and business use. Enter 0 at Gumroad checkout; any additional contribution is optional. The application is supplied under its included MIT license, which governs the software’s permissions and conditions. This page does not replace or restrict that license. Third-party components retain their own terms, described in the notices included with each release.

As supplied

The MIT license supplies the software as is, without warranty. Support, response times, future updates and continued development are not guaranteed. Keep backups of important files and review results before relying on edited documents. Optional contributions do not purchase additional features or a support contract.

Compatibility and processing

Windows 10 or later, 64-bit, is required. Editing works with supported PDF objects and compatible fonts. Paragraph reflow across pages and editing inside nested graphic groups are not implemented. DOCX import uses basic formatting. PDF-to-Word/Excel conversion and dynamic XFA scripts and layouts are not supported.

OCR requires the Microsoft Visual C++ v14 x64 Redistributable. Recognition can misread text or approximate fonts. Review converted pages before saving.

Redaction and certificate signatures

Redaction marks are pending until applied. Applying them creates a fresh, unencrypted PDF made from page images and removes original text streams, forms, links, bookmarks, attachments and signatures. Inspect the resulting copy before sharing.

Certificate signing requires access to a suitable private key and its provider. Signature verification checks integrity and reports Windows certificate-chain trust offline. It does not check revocation or trusted timestamps. Additional signatures and long-term validation are not implemented; signed documents stay in Read mode.

Your documents and rights

You retain your rights in your documents. Ensure you have permission to edit, import and share their contents and to embed any fonts you supply. Protect credentials, certificates and your device.

External services
